General terms and conditions
These terms apply to bookings, services and agreements with TOY Group BV, trading as Escape Room Mons (company number BE0728998550), through www.escaperoommons.be, by telephone or at the venue. By booking or participating, the customer accepts these terms.
1. Definitions
Escape Room Mons / provider: TOY Group BV, trading as Escape Room Mons. Customer / participant: any individual or organisation booking or taking part in an activity. Contract: the booking and participation in an escape game organised by Escape Room Mons.
2. Bookings and payments
Bookings can be made online, by telephone or at the venue. A €40 bank transfer deposit per room is required for direct website bookings. Our team provides the bank details. The balance is payable at the venue in cash or through the payment methods available there. A booking becomes final only after written confirmation from Escape Room Mons.
3. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation more than four weeks before the activity: no cancellation fee, or a 100% refund as a gift voucher. Cancellation between four and two weeks before the activity: a 70% refund as a gift voucher, or a charge of 30% if unpaid. Cancellation within two weeks of the activity or a no-show: no refund, or the full booking amount is charged if unpaid.
4. Safety and behaviour
Participants must arrive 15 minutes before the session starts. Participation under the influence of alcohol, drugs or substances affecting alertness is prohibited. Damage caused by negligence or irresponsible behaviour may be charged to the responsible customer. Staff instructions must be followed to keep the activity safe and running smoothly.
5. Intellectual property
Escape Room Mons content, including texts, photographs, logos, puzzles, room concepts, stories and game mechanics, is protected by copyright. Copying, reproducing, recording or commercially exploiting any part of the scenarios, mechanisms or visuals requires prior written permission.
6. Prices and information
Website prices are provided with care. Obvious typographical or programming errors do not entitle a customer to the incorrect price. Despite ongoing care, information may contain inaccuracies or omissions; Escape Room Mons cannot be held responsible for such errors or incomplete information.
7. Liability
Participants take part at their own responsibility. Escape Room Mons is not liable for personal injury or property damage except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Escape Room Mons accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings at the venue.
8. Force majeure
If the activity cannot take place because of force majeure, such as fire, power failure, a pandemic or a technical breakdown, Escape Room Mons will inform the customer as soon as possible. The customer may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of the amount paid.
9. Applicable law and courts
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes concerning their interpretation or performance fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Hainaut, Mons division.
10. Changes
Escape Room Mons may change these terms. The latest version is available at www.escaperoommons.be and takes effect when published.
